Nominate
Someone for Grand Marshall
Each year at
Pacific Days, one of Pacific’s citizens, or someone who works within the
city of Pacific, is selected for the honorary position of Grand Marshall for
Pacific Days and rides in the Grand Parade held on Saturday. Each year we
want to hear from you. Please take the time to submit your nomination using
the Grand
Marshall Nomination Form.
Consider Being
a Vendor
With all the
excitement and planning taking place, we want to also make sure we get the
word out about participating as a vendor. Why not take this opportunity and
sign up for a 10’x10’ booth at Pacific Days so you can vend some of those
crafty things you have been making and wanting to sell? We have had all
sorts of vendors including a sapphire miner, scroller, jeweler, candle
maker, seamstress, and on and on. Simply complete a
2010 Pacific Days Vendor Application and submit it per the included
instructions.
Make a
Monetary Donation
Expenses are
always great when it comes to putting together a free event like Pacific
Days, however, through donations from local businesses as well as citizens
it can be done. Would you consider helping us out? You might have noticed
from the article in our latest The Pacific Pulse newsletter that Pacific
Partnerships is now officially a tax exempt non profit 501(c)(3)
organization. This means that your donation is tax deductable. Won't you
consider helping us out? Simply write a check made
payable to Pacific Partnerships
and either mail it to PO Box 256, Pacific Washington 98047, or
simply deliver it to Glenda at the City of Pacific Post Office. Thank you so
much in advance.
Submit an
Application for Miss Pacific Princess
You may not
know, but Pacific has its very own Princess and Royal Court. Miss Pacific
Princess Katrina Williams has been playing a big role in all the events put
on by the Pacific Partnerships since her inauguration as well as appearing
in several parades. Katrina is a wonderful example of youth in our town and
enthusiastically demonstrates her spirit of pride and caring for her
community.
Girls who
want to apply for Miss Pacific Princess 2010 must be in the fourth or fifth
grade, live in Pacific, and either attend Illako or Alpac schools, attend a
private school, or be home schooled. The winner is awarded a $100 Savings
Bond.
If you want
to apply and meet the criteria listed above, simply complete a
Miss Pacific Princess 2010
Application being sure to follow the instructions on the form.
Sign Up to be
a Part of the Grand Parade
Each year,
the Pacific Days Grand Parade gets bigger and bigger. Last year we had a
total of 120 participants in the parade. Why not have your company
represented! It’s a good way to advertise and a great way to have fun. If
you would like to be a part of this year’s parade, whether you just walk in
the parade or have a float, simply complete a
Pacific Days Parade 2010
Application being sure to follow the instructions on the form.
Perform an Act
of Kindness - Volunteer
Performing an
act of kindness, freely giving of your talent, time, and effort for the
simple fulfillment of community expectations sounds a bit like what
volunteering is all about. Want to perform an act of kindness for this
year’s Pacific Days? Come attend one of our meetings held on the second
Tuesday of each month at 6:30 pm at the Pacific Algona Community Center next to the Pacific City Hall to find out
how you can help.
